Once you are in this position, bend your knees to chest level. Slowly take hold of your left knee and bring it close to your chest. Here is another simple exercise that you can practice. Once again it involves lying flat on your back. Lower your face and touch your chin to your chest. At the same time, bring up both your knees and touch them to your chest. Hug yourself in this position for around 15 seconds and then gradually relax your body. This is one exercise that you will have to do in sets of two each. Another good low back pain exercise to reduce pain is to lie on your tummy. Stretch your legs out behind you and then gradually lift up one leg. This has to be done without bending the knee. Lift both legs up so that your lower back takes the pressure. Hold for a few seconds and then repeat in sets of five.
