It is a well known fact that exercising will keep your body in shape as well as healthy. The same goes for when you are suffering for low back pain. Before you begin any low back pain exercises, it is important that you check with your doctor on whether you are allowed to exercise or not. One simple exercise is to lie down on your back. Bend your knees. Slowly bring your left knee to your chest. All the while make sure that your lower back is flat and is touching the ground. Hold this position for around 5 seconds and slowly relax your limbs. Do the same with your right knee. This exercise has to be done in sets of 10.

Another simple exercise is to lie flat on your back. Bring your chin down to your chest. At the same time bring up your knees and hug them to your chest tightly. Hold the position for around 15 seconds and then release. You should do this exercise in sets of two. Another good low back pain exercise, is to lie on your stomach. Keep your legs stretched out behind you. Gradually lift one leg up keeping your knee straight. Next do the same with both legs. Hold the position for a while and repeat in sets of five.

There are several other low back pain exercises that you can introduce in your regimen on a daily basis. This includes some brisk walking, cycling and swimming. You can also indulge in some hip twisting as well as skipping. All these exercises work to keep your back muscles flexible and in good working condition.
